STEM and learning kits are tracked and monitored closely within the Georgia Promise Scholarship Marketplace. In order for a STEM and Learning Kit to be considered eligible, it must be purposefully connected to a core subject or STEM topic. To qualify, STEM kits must include printed or digital lesson plans, guided activities, or clear learning objectives that help students engage with the materials and understand the underlying scientific or technical concepts. STEM kits whose primary purpose appears to be something other than a core subject or STEM topic, such as a toy or an arts and crafts set, will not be deemed eligible.
For example, a kit that includes a self-watering pot, soil, and seeds is not a STEM kit on its own. However, if it also includes structured lessons on photosynthesis, plant biology, or the water cycle, it will meet the criteria for a STEM kit and be eligible for the market.
If you feel that your offering clearly meets the criteria listed above, please submit your offering through your vendor portal.
